In India female child mortality among the highest in the world according to report released by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs ( UN-DESA)

A new report has been released by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs ( UN-DESA) which covers 150 countries. It also compiles the data for the last 40 years. The data is alarming for India. It shows that in India a girl child within the age of 1-5 years is 75% more likely to die in India compared to a male child.
